Review Policy

If you would like either Ashley or Nicole to review a book, please do not hesitate to contact us at thequietconcert@gmail.com but please read the text below before you do.

The Quiet Concert is a Young Adult Book Blog, therefore, Ashley and Nicole will only accept YA books for review. All reviews will be posted on Goodreads, in addition to this blog.

We accept ARCs and finished copies and are open to self-published books. Paperbacks are preferred, but if necessary, we can accept e-books compatible with the Kindle.We are also more than happy to accept audiobooks.

Nicole's preferred genres include:

• fantasy
• contemporary
• historical fiction
• dystopian/post-apocalyptic
• science fiction
• (sometimes) paranormal

Ashley's preferred genres include:

• fantasy
• paranormal
• dystopian/post-apocalptic
• science fiction
• (sometimes) mystery/thriller

We are not interested in non-fiction, memoirs/biographies, poetry or short stories.

Note: If you would like us to review a sequel, we may need the previous books in the series.

Our reviews include:

• Cover photo
• Book Title (and series, if applicable)
• Author
• Publisher
• Release Date
• Number of pages
• Source
• Summary (from Goodreads)
• Rating (out of 5 stars)
• Our honest opinion

If you have a date that you would like us to review before, please include that information in your request, in addition to any other special considerations. We appreciate it if you add your cover and a link to Goodreads in your email as well.

NOTE: As working professionals and part time students, Ashley and Nicole are both very busy. Please be patient with us in responding to your requests. If you do not hear from us for an extended period of time, that likely means we are not interested.
