Top Ten Author Duos We'd LOVE To See Write A Book Together

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's Top Ten list is
"Top Ten Author Duos We'd LOVE To See Write A Book Together"

Nicole's Top Five

1. Jay Kristoff and Pierce Brown - I can't even image the shit that these two would come up with and how much damage they would do to my soul. They might be my top two favorite male authors so a bromance between them would be a dream come true.

2. Jay Kristoff and Ernest Cline - Yep, Jay Kristoff again. Yep, another dreamed-up bromance.  Can you imagine a book that combines Cline's geek-tastic stories with Kristoff's epic plotting? The world probably couldn't handle it.

3. Sarah J. Maas and Susan Dennard - So I know they have an online project for The Starkillers Cycle but I would die for an actual book from these two. Like seriously I would lose my mind over it.

4. Laini Taylor and Leigh Bardugo - These ladies' books are at the top of the fantasy genre. Can you imagine a collaboration between them? Oh, the imagery and action and wit and swoons.

5. Emery Lord and Kasie West - Emery and Kasie have become two of my favorite contemporary authors in such a short amount of time. I don't really think it gets much better than them but if they wrote something together? It might be the best contemporary book of all time.

Ashley's Top Five

1. Cora Carmack and Jennifer L. Armentrout - These two authors write some fantastic new adult books with s great balance of humor and steamy scenes.  I am sure they would come up with something fantastic together.

2. Meg Cabot and Megan McCafferty - Together these two could write an amazing longer series.

3. Taylor Jenkins Reid and Rainbow Rowell - The witty conversations and blend of slightly heavier topics - these two ladies could easily make a strong adult novel.

4. Maggie Stiefvater and Naomi Novik - Epic world building with beautiful prose without fail.

5. Veronica Rossi and Sarah Rees Brennan- I imagine an epic romance, epic world building and unique and funny characters!

What are your top ten?

I kinda want Jay Kristoff to just team up with everybody. I love him.

Ohhhhh Laini Taylor and Leigh Bardugo would be an excellent pair. I want it.

Carmack and Armentrout are my NA dream team. I want those swoons.

I'd love to see Jay Kristoff and Pierce Brown collaborate. They'd create such a badass sci-fi/fantasy world.

I'm so on board with Laini Taylor and Leigh Bardugo teaming up. I need this to happen.

I've not read Noami Novik's Uprooted but I can definitely see why a collaboration with Maggie Stiefvater would be EPIC.

Currently reading Illuminae so I can totally understand why Jay Kristoff should be paired by everyone. :)

Awesome list guys! I still need to read Uprooted, but I think a collaboration between Noami Novik and Maggie Stiefvater would be amazing!

Illuminae was EPIC. But I'd also HIGHLY recommend his The Lotus War series!! It's similarly epic!
I want all of these to be real!!!!!! Today's topic was both glorious and fun and horrible and mean. lol :D You have now just reaffirmed that I MUST read Illuminae.

Ahh yay I love these picks <3 This week's topic was so fun! Especially because I see a lot of the same authors but not in the exact same pairs, which is really interesting.
Laini Taylor and Leigh Bardugo would be awesome! (but really, I'd be dying to read anything that Laini Taylor contributed to writing. The DoSaB trilogy was just super (super) great xD)
I've heard a lot of praise for Kasie West's books, but the only one I've read by her was The Distance Between Us, which I didn't enjoy too much (except for Cayman's awesome sarcasm ahah) -- which of her books do you recommend? (:

Ahh I honestly would recommend all of them but I feel like On the Fence might appeal to the largest number of people. The Fill In Boyfriend was good too but it takes time to warm up to the main character since she's a little self-centered.

Some great pairings, I'll take Jay Kristoff with anyone!

Veronica Rossi and Sarah Rees Brennan…definitely!

Oh, so many of these sound great! JLA and Cora - would love to see that! They are two of my favorite NA writers. I think Emery Lord and Kasie West would be great together too. :)
