Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's Top Ten list is "Top Ten Books I Recommend The Most" (at this moment in time) :)
Nicole's Top 5
1. The Diviners by Libba Bray
2. If I Lie by Corrine Jackson
3. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
4. Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
5. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
Ashley's Top 5
Ooh, I love your list! The Diviners, Cinder, and Delirium are on my TBR list. I really enjoyed Angelfall, and The Fault In Our Stars is also on my TTT. I read Finnikin Of The Rock, but for some reason I didn't love it. I kind of want to reread it, though, because I feel that it may have been more of a case of bad timing.
ReplyDeleteLegend is another one I've heard a lot of positive things about, maybe it's finally time to add it to my TBR list.

I think many will agree that Froi of the Exiles (book two of the Lumatere Chronicles) was better than Finnikin of the Rock. If you didn't mind it enough to read the sequel maybe give that one a shot?
DeleteSuch good books on your lists! I'm reading Cinder right now and I'm wondering why it's taken me this long! I'm in love with it! It's so good!!!
ReplyDeleteThen just wait until you pick up Scarlet! Ashley and I both just recently finished it and loved it!
DeleteI'm so freaking glad to see Angelfall on your list :D The only one I haven't read or have on my TBR list is If I Lie... I'm going to have to look it up now! :) Great list!!
ReplyDeleteHah I am nervous to recommend If I Lie to you because of your experience with If I Stay/Where She Went which I loved. But if you do decide to read it I hope you like it!
DeleteI've seen so many of these books recommended by others, but must confess I haven't read any of them even though a few are in my TBR ebooks!
ReplyDeleteCinder's on my list too, and I still need to read Divergent! :) My TTT list: http://aliceinreaderland.com/2013/03/25/mostrecommended/

Divergent was a fun, action-packed dystopian. We hope you like it!
DeleteI really want to read Finnkin of the Rock soon, because it looks like a book that is right up my alley :D.

Melina Marchetta is an amazing author. You shouldn't be disappointed if you are a fan of Fantasy. and the second book Froi of the Exiles is even better!
DeleteGreat list! I loved Cinder, and Finnikin of the Rock, The Diviners, and The Fault in our Stars are all on my TBR list (Finnikin is actually on my shelves; I just haven't gotten to it yet.) Several of the others are on my radar and will probably be added to the TBR list soon (Divergent, for instance.)
ReplyDeletePlease stop by and see my recommendations!
Great list :) I loved Cinder, Divergent, Legend and especially The Diviners. I need to read The Fault in Our Stars and see if the library has Delerium and Angelfall in stock while I'm at it!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Fault in Our Stars so I was late to read that one as well. I know there is a lot of hype surrounding the book but i still loved it. I hope you have the same experience!
DeleteOh NICE picks! I still need to read Delirium, Angelfall, Legend, Cinder & The Diviners (yikes!) - but I do own them all & hoping to get there soon :) A BIG YES to Divergent though :D
ReplyDeleteI'm biased but I suggest starting with the Diviners :)
DeleteAfter looking at everyone's lists this week I think I really need to read The Fault in Our Stars lol. Great lists
ReplyDeleteDon't worry I only just read it. And you won't be disappointed!

ReplyDeleteGreat list and I see we had a few in common. Cinder and TFIOS's are in my tbr list and after seeing how many top 10's they made, I'm now even excited about the two of them.

If you listen to audiobooks I suggest getting the audiobook for The Diviners. The narrator is among the best in my experience. She really brought Evie to life for me!

I have only read two books from your ten choices this week (one from each of your lists) and would recommend them both, highly! Those two are The Fault In Our Stars and Delirium, both books I only read this year and both books are up there with my top books for 2013 so far.
