The Quiet Concert: Thoughts for Thursday (10)

Welcome to Thoughts for Thursday! This feature is our outlet to talk with you about whatever we currently have on our minds. It might be bookish, it might not! Now for this week's thought:

I am off to Dubai!

Perhaps my greatest passion in life is traveling. I take every opportunity I get to go somewhere new and experience new people, places and things. I want to see the world.

I leave today on my latest adventure - Dubai, UAE. I've been fascinated by Dubai for several years now so when I learned that my graduate school had an immersion program in Dubai, I knew I had to be a part of it.

I will be traveling to the region for 17 days and do not expect to be on the internet much, if at all. I may pop up on twitter or instagram to let you all know how my experience is going but I will be otherwise absent from the blogosphere until my return. We do have posts scheduled though so you may not even notice I am even gone!

Now I have no idea how much time I am going to have to read. But obviously I am bringing enough reading material to last me a year. JUST IN CASE. Since I will mostly be relying on my kindle, I am using this opportunity to finally read some of the books that I have long been meaning to read.

Dubai, that sounds like such a great opportunity! And the plane will definitely be a great place to get some reading done, you've got some great books picked out. Have fun!

I'm a little jealous of you :D! I want to travel the world and I look forward to the time I have enough money for it, haha. Enjoy!! I love Scarlet, Dark triumph & The immortal rules, so I'd recommend reading those for sure if you have the time!

I LOVE traveling too! Since I'm only 17 y/o I travel with my family to different states and it's been an amazing experience. Once I'm older, I am definitely going to travel to different countries. My goal right now is to visit all of the states here in the U.S. Hope you have an AMAZING time in Dubai!

Dubai looks amazing! My aunt went there and had so much fun. I would love to visit there someday as well. I love to travel too :p Nice book list. Prodigy is so good!! And Jellicoe Road is a must read.

That is awesome! I can't believe you are going to Dubai! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! I wish I traveled more, but until then I can just live vicariously through you. :) Great books for traveling though. Have a great trip.
