Thoughts for Thursday (14) - Disney World & Universal Recap

Welcome to Thoughts for Thursday! This feature is our outlet to talk with you about whatever we currently have on our minds. It might be bookish, it might not! Now for this week's thought:

Disney World and Universal Studios

The idea of posting a recap of my trip came from seeing Mel @ The Daily Prophecy's post about her love for Disney.  I found myself saying, 'Oh you should see this picture I took from Disney'.  So I decided to share with you guys some pictures and experience from Disney and Universal Studios (since Harry Potter World was there)!

We bought a hopper pass (best decision ever!) so we could bounce from park to park.  Our first park was..
Hollywood Studios!

As you see we met Mary Poppins, Stitch, and even Darth Vader.  This was probably my second favorite park. The shows were awesome and the rides were great too!

Next up where we traveled around the globe, met Jasmine, Belle, and Mulan. This park is probably the least ride heavy but does have lots of food and drinks from around the world.
Epcot!

After Epcot we went on a Safari, met Rafaki, Baloo, and King Louie.  We got to see Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale, and more at ...
Animal Kingdom!

We save the best for last at Disney, The Magic Kingdom :)  It was by far my favorite park!  We got to eat lunch in Beast's castle.  There are three rooms and each was so elaborately done it was so impressive.  We met tons of characters and while most of the rides are not thrill rides they were all so well done.
Magic Kingdom

After Disney we went to Universal which had more thrill rides but overall I enjoyed Disney a lot more.  Harry Potter World is what makes the park.

I hope ya enjoyed my pictures! I had a blast if you are planning a trip or anything and have questions I am more than happy to give my opinion!

Have you been to Disney?  or Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure?  Excited to go visit one of these parks now?

This looks like so much fun! I'm not too far from Disneyland and I go quite a bit, but I've never been to Disneyworld. I'm hoping that that changes soon! Thanks for sharing all the pictures and what no!

The boy and I are headed that way in August for the Disneyland Half Marathon, might be needing some local spots to hit for meals and what now :)
Great pictures, looks like a blast! I've never been to Disneyworld but I want to go so bad. Someday...
Oh gosh, Hollywood Tower Hotel is one of my favorite rides! Haha! I just love the feeling you get in your stomach when the elevator drops. xD I'm just like "YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!" I've been to Disney and Universal Studios a couple of times, but I really want to visit the Disneyland in Florida since I've never been there, plus it's bigger!

Wow, it looks like you had so much fun! Harry Potter World, really want to see that. And I have not been to Animal Kingdom. The last time I went it was in June and rained for seven days straight. All day long. So weird, but we just bought our Mickey slickers and tried to do everything we possibly could, but it still obviously affected what we could do. You saw so much...glad you had such a great time!

They are making some improvements to Harry Potter World so you can now take the Hogwarts Express, which just sounds AWESOME.

You have to eventually make it there!!
I loved looking at your pictures! I haven't been to Disney World since I was a kid. I did go to Universal (because HP world of course) for my honeymoon in Oct. 2012 and we had such a blast! Didn't you love everything about it?! What did you think of the butterbeer? I though it was really tasty, and the whole place just looked so real!

Yay! I love reading other people's thoughts on the parks. (Did you know I had a Disney blog too?) Your character photos are great. I love how Aladdin & Jasmine let you two take a pic near each other like that. haha. It's very very cute!!!!

I am a Disney fan through and through but I did love the Harry stuff at Universal and I'm looking forward to going back when the expansion opens. Other than that, I really wouldn't have a reason to go back to Universal. I love the theming and the feel of the Disney parks so much more. (Plus I feel like they cater more toward adults who want to have a grown up vacation in a fun place.)
