I'm Waiting On The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine to shine a spotlight on upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating!

This week I chose...

Title: The Chaos of Stars
Author: Kiersten White
Publisher: HarperTeen
Release Date: September 10, 2013

Summary from Goodreads:
Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.

Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.

Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

The Paranormalcy series was not my favorite but I LOVED Mind Games!  So I have high hopes for The Chaos of the Stars!

What are you waiting on?

  2. I've only read the first Paranormalcy book and Mind Games, but I enjoyed them both! So I'm pretty excited to see what this one is going to be like. Especially since it involves Egyptian Gods and that's just freaking awesome!
    Great pick :)

  6. I've been really wanting to try this author, but didn't realize she had a new book coming out… I definitely need to go find Mind Games, as I didn't realize it was by her either. Thank you for the heads up!

By the way, even though I don't make it on the comment very often, I've been thoroughly in joining your posts in my email for the last several months - your blog is one of my favorites! You girls do a great job. :-)

  7. I know this one has been getting mixed reviews, but personally I can't wait to read it either! I have this one for review already, so I can't wait to find the time to squeeze it in!
