January 2014 Recap

Nicole came back from Dubai! It was amazing and she plans on writing a recap post but she just had to submit a 15-page reflection paper that was terrible and she doesn't want to write another thing about Dubai for a while.
Nicole started her second semester of grad school and is already swamped.
Nicole attended ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia and it was really really great :)
Ashley went to Disney World and Universal with her family and had an awesome time!
Ashley signed up for the Disney Land Half-Marathon in August, she just started training again :)

I would love to hear about your trip to Dubai, Nicole!

And Disney World, so fun! And a half-marathon...good luck with training! The last time I ran a half-marathon it was pretty much the last time I ran (well, I did run a 10K just because I had already signed up). I just remember finishing and thinking, if I want to run a marathon, I have to do what I just did...again. So I basically quit running. But running at Disney Land, that would be fun...crowds cheering, etc (mine was on lonely trails). Ok, enough rambling.

You both read so many good books! I can't wait to hear about Dubai from Nicole, but after writing the huge paper I understand why she needs to take a break. I'm glad you both went on so many fun and awesome trips. I'm super jealous. :)

Oh and just so you know Nicole, I would be fine with just a post full of pictures from Dubai with little captions. Think of how little writing that would take. ;)

Oh my gosh, 15 page essay? *cries* Glad you had an amazing time at Dubai though! I still need to read Mockingjay! Heard the ending was bad?... I don't care, I loved Catching Fire so I'll still read Mockingjay for sure...just not this month haha.
